He loved his family. He truly loved us enough to take a real bullet for us.”
Corey’s wife, Helen, expressed her grief, saying, “Yesterday… turned into a nightmare for our family. What my precious girls had to witness is unforgivable. He died the hero he always was.” The family’s loss highlights the senselessness of violence and the boundless nature of a father’s love.
