Gardeners put a lot of time and effort into their vegetable gardens, and it’s incredibly frustrating to see their hard work thwarted by animal and insect pests.
It’s next to impossible to physically sit and defend your garden 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Instead, let these deterrents do the work for you and keep pests out of your garden.

1. Coffee grounds
Sprinkle coffee grounds around the base of tender plants. The abrasiveness of the grounds coupled with the acidity creates a barrier that deters slugs and snails.

2. Human hair
Deer that aren’t accustomed to people dislike the scent of humans. Put hair clippings in old tights or nylons, then hang them around the perimeter of the garden to keep deer at a distance.
