What are these crumbs in my bed? White/clear tiny crystal shaped. Looks like salt but isn’t salt.

It does look like superabsorbent polymer used in nappies though, especially since they expanded and turned into a jelly consistency. Could a dry one have ripped open or been defective so it leaked out elsewhere in the house and then somehow have been transferred on clothes into the bedroom?

Regardless of how it ended up where you found it I’m pretty sure it’s a superabsorbent polymer.

I tested. Gathered a couple crumbs, dropped them in a glass of water. Thought they were dissolving til I touched it – they have turned into jelly.

Leaving me with more questions than answers. There are no nappies or sanitary pads near the bed. My 2yo is in nappies but none have went through the wash or been near my bed. I don’t use disposable sanitary pads. …
