Hidden in plain sight — just to the left of that yellow-green leaf in the middle of the photo — there’s a deadly surprise waiting. Look closely for the faint S-shape and those light brown “triangles” that almost blend perfectly with the forest floor.

Still can’t see it? Zoom in right at the center of the photo. That one yellowish-green leaf is sitting on top of a cream-colored stick angled like “/”. Now look just below that — the stick is nearly touching the snake. The pattern looks like tiny brown wishbones.

We boosted the colors in Photoshop just to reveal how perfectly camouflaged it really was. Mother Nature doesn’t play.
