2 tablespoons sugar
1 cup mashed potatoes (about 2 medium potatoes)
1/2 cup warm milk
2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast (1 packet)
4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 large egg, beaten (for egg wash)
