When Neville realized that what he had found was too big to be a caterpillar or any other type of insect, he placed it in a container and took it back to the store.
“The seller was also very scared,” he recalls.
Neville reportedly received a compensation offer from Aldi, although he was not happy with the amount offered.
“It’s just not enough,” he said. “The consequences for us if the animal ended up in our home would be enormous. Plus, I have a phobia of snakes, so there’s also the emotional impact of this situation.”
