Instructions
Step 1: Preheat Oven & Prepare Pan
Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C)
Grease and flour a 10-inch bundt pan
Step 2: Cream Butter and Sugar
In a large bowl, cream 1½ cups butter and 3 cups sugar until light and fluffy
Step 3: Add Eggs and Extracts
Beat in 5 eggs, one at a time
Add 1 tsp vanilla and 2 tsp almond or lemon extract
Step 4: Add Flour and Soda
Alternately add 3 cups flour and 1 cup soda, beginning and ending with flour
Mix until just combined—do not overmix
Step 5: Pour & Bake
Pour the batter into your prepared bundt pan
Bake for 60–70 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean
Step 6: Cool & Serve
Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes
Invert onto a wire rack and let cool completely
Serve plain or with a dollop of whipped cream
