To descale a toilet with baking soda, soda crystals, or white vinegar:

By sucking the water out of the bowl with your brush, you may empty the bowl of its water. Dump 1/4 liter of bicarbonate, white vinegar, or soda crystals into the bowl of your toilet.
Put it on for a minimum of one night.
After that, use your brush to scrape the base of your toilet bowl very well to get rid of all the buildup.
