Ingredients
→ Biscuits
1 can (16.3 oz) buttermilk biscuits (8-count, such as Pillsbury Grands!)
→ Fruit Filling
1 can (21 oz) apple pie filling
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
→ Spice Mixture
½ cup packed brown sugar
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
⅛ teaspoon ground nutmeg
→ Coating
120 grams (½ cup / 1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
→ Icing
60 grams (½ cup) confectioners’ sugar
15 milliliters (1 tablespoon) milk
Optional: ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract for extra flavor
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat & Prep
Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F) .
Lightly grease a 9-inch round baking dish, oven-safe skillet, or square baking pan with non-stick spray or butter to prevent sticking.
Step 2: Make the Spice Mixture
In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg until well combined. Set aside.
Step 3: Coat the Biscuits
Pour the melted butter into a shallow bowl.
One at a time, dip each biscuit into the butter , turning to coat all sides.
Roll the butter-coated biscuit in the spice-sugar mixture until fully covered.
Place the coated biscuits in the prepared pan, arranging them snugly in a single layer.
🍞 Pro Tip: Don’t skip the butter dip — it creates a caramelized, sticky-sweet crust as they bake!
