Directions
1. Prepare the Dough
In a large bowl, whisk together the warm milk, melted butter, sugar, and mashed bananas. Add the egg and yeast. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
Gradually add the flour and salt, mixing until a sticky dough forms. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for 6–8 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
2. Roll and Fill
Roll out the dough into a rectangle (about 12×18 inches). Spread with the softened butter, sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
Carefully roll up the dough from the long side. Slice into 12 equal rolls.
Place in a greased 9×13 baking dish. Cover and let rise again for 30–40 minutes.
3. Bake
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake rolls for 20–25 minutes, until golden and cooked through. Let cool slightly.
4. Make the Frosting
In a bowl, beat the cream cheese and butter until smooth. Add powdered sugar and vanilla, beating until fluffy. Thin with milk if needed.
5. Frost and Serve
Spread the frosting generously over warm rolls. Serve immediately or store covered for up to 3 days.
