METHOD
- Prepare the Batter: In a large mixing bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy. Add the oil, milk, and hot water, and mix well. Then, add the cocoa powder, flour, and baking powder to the mixture and stir until everything is well combined.
- Prepare the Mold: Grease the bottom of a baking mold (about 9×13 inches) with butter. Slice the bananas and arrange them evenly on the bottom of the prepared mold.
- Bake the Cake: Pour the prepared batter over the banana slices in the mold. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Make the Ganache: While the cake is baking, heat the cream in a small saucepan over medium heat until it just begins to boil. Remove from the heat and add the chopped milk chocolate. Stir until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
- Finish the Cake: Once the cake has finished baking, remove it from the oven and allow it to cool slightly. Pour the warm chocolate ganache over the top of the cake, spreading it evenly.
- Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle chopped pistachios over the ganache for a delicious crunch. Allow the cake to set before cutting it into squares. Enjoy your decadent Banana Chocolate Squares!
