Toilet paper won’t burn instantly, but rather gradually. Simply ignite the edge of the roll with a lighter and extinguish the flame to eliminate odors emanating from the toilet or any other drain. Be sure to remove any pieces of toilet paper you find before proceeding to this step.

Keep your eyes open, as we emphasize this point several times during treatment. Assuming there are no combustible materials nearby, it’s safer to burn toilet paper in the sink or another bathroom fixture.
