Prepare the Beef: Pound the beef slices until thin. Season with salt and pepper, then spread the breadcrumb mixture over each slice. Roll up tightly and secure with twine.
Brown the Braciole: Heat olive oil in a skillet and brown the beef rolls on all sides. Remove from the skillet.
Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, sauté the onion until soft. Add crushed tomatoes, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer.
Simmer the Braciole: Return the beef rolls to the skillet, cover, and simmer on low for 1 ½ to 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
Serve: Serve the braciole with pasta and plenty of sauce.
