Bake the cake for about 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Once baked, remove it from the oven and let it cool completely.
Step 2: Make the Custard Filling
In a medium-sized bowl, combine the instant vanilla pudding mix with 1 ½ cups of whole milk. Whisk the mixture vigorously for about 2 minutes until it thickens. Set it aside to allow it to set further.
In a separate bowl, beat the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the pudding mixture until fully combined.
