Messages from another 14-year-old boy, who also lost his life, were released by WSB-TV. These texts captured the fear and uncertainty of the students trapped during the shooting. The boy had texted his mother saying, “School shooting rn. I’m scared, pls, I’m not joking,” and ended with a chilling “I love you.”

Shooter Charged

The shooter, Colt Gray, also 14, will be charged as an adult with multiple counts of murder. Authorities are still piecing together the motivations and circumstances leading to this tragic event.
