BREAKING NEWS!! Sad news confirms the deaths of…
The bodies of three men have been recovered from a landslide near Lillooet, British Columbia. One person is still missing following this week’s search, according to the RCMP.
One dead person was recovered on Wednesday and two more bodies were found on Thursday, British Columbia’s Chief Coroner, Lisa Lapointe, said in a written statement released Saturday.
The search for a fourth missing man continued on Friday but was unsuccessful, Lapointe said.
On Monday, the body of a woman was also recovered from the landslide site. This is the first confirmed death resulting from the severe flooding and landslides in the southern part of the province, which were partly caused by the extreme rainfall last weekend.
