- Preparing the Peels: Thoroughly wash the citrus fruits and peel them. Try to remove as much of the white pith as possible, as it can make the serum too bitter and potentially irritating to the skin.
- Extracting the Goodness: Place the peels in a glass jar and cover them with distilled water. Seal the jar and let it sit in a cool, dark place for about 3 days, allowing the water to infuse with the nutrients from the peels.
- Final Touches: After 3 days, strain the infused water into a bowl, removing all the peels. Add the vegetable glycerin to the infused water and stir well. This step adds a moisturizing property to your serum, enhancing its skin-softening abilities.
- Bottling: Transfer the mixture into a dark-colored glass bottle. The dark glass helps protect the serum from light, preserving its vitamin C content.
