1 pound medium shrimp , peeled and deveined
1/2 pound smoked sausage (such as Andouille), sliced into rounds
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 bell pepper , diced (any color works!)
1 small onion , finely chopped
2 cloves garlic , minced
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust for spice preference)
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
Salt and pepper , to taste
1 cup chicken broth
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Juice of 1 lemon
OPTIONAL GARNISH:
Fresh parsley, chopped
