Richard “Kinky” Friedman, beloved singer and satirist, passed away at 79 in late June at his Texas home. Known for his sharp wit and unique style, Kinky first gained recognition in the early 1970s by forming the satirical country band Kinky Friedman and The Texas Jewboys.
