Instructions:
In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook ground beef, onion, and bell pepper until beef is browned and vegetables are tender. Drain excess fat.
Add tomato sauce, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5-10 minutes until thickened.
Lay out egg roll wrappers and place a spoonful of sloppy joe mixture in the center of each.
Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the sloppy joe mixture.
Fold and roll the wrappers tightly, sealing the edges with a bit of water.
In a small bowl, mix melted butter and minced garlic. Brush over the egg rolls.
Heat cooking oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
Fry egg rolls in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.
Notes:
Serve with marinara or ranch dressing for dipping.
For a baked version, preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and bake for 15-20 minutes until crispy.
