In a medium bowl, mix the milk, cream of cheddar, and cream of mushroom soup until fully combined.
Assemble the Casserole
Layer the sliced potatoes in the greased casserole dish.
Add a portion of the cooked ground beef mixture on top of the potatoes.
Pour some of the soup mixture over the beef.
Sprinkle 1/3 of the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
Repeat layering until all the ingredients are used, finishing with a final layer of shredded cheddar cheese.
Bake
Cover the dish with foil and bake for 60-70 minutes, until the potatoes are tender. Test with a fork.
Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes to brown the cheese on top.
Garnish and Serve
Allow the dish to cool slightly, then garnish with chopped green onions or fresh parsley, if desired.
Serve hot and enjoy!
For added texture, consider adding vegetables like peas, carrots, or corn. You can also substitute ground chicken or turkey for the beef. I hope you enjoy this cheesy hamburger potato casserole as much as I do!
Enjoy!
