Cheesy Scalloped Potatoes

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups of thinly sliced Yukon Gold potatoes
  • 3 tablespoons of unsalted butter
  • 3 tablespoons of all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups of whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon of sea salt
  • A pinch of smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon of freshly ground white pepper
  • 1 1/4 cups of a flavorful sharp cheddar and Gruyère cheese blend, grated
  • 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh chives or parsley for garnish.

Instructions:

    1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9-inch (23×23 cm) baking dish with a touch of butter or cooking spray.
    2. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Once melted, whisk in the flour and let it cook for a minute, allowing it to turn a pale golden color.
