- Preheat the oven:
- Preheat your oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C). Lightly grease a 4-sided baking sheet with nonstick spray. Arrange the drumsticks on the prepared baking sheet.
- Prepare the rub:
- In a small mixing bowl, combine all the seasonings listed under the Basic Chicken Rub. Mix well.
- Season the drumsticks:
- Sprinkle the seasoning mix evenly over the chicken drumsticks. Rub the seasoning on and underneath the skin for maximum flavor (optional).
- Add butter:
- Place a 1/2 tablespoon dab of butter on the top of each drumstick, focusing on the meaty part. The butter will melt over the meat and skin, keeping the meat juicy and making the skin crispy.
- Bake:
- Bake the drumsticks in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165Β°F (74Β°C).
