Directions:
In a bowl, mix ground beef, chopped onion, garlic, egg, breadcrumbs, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper. Shape into 4-6 oval patties.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for 5 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, add butter and sliced onion. Sauté until soft, about 5 minutes.
Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute, then slowly add beef broth and tomato paste. Stir well and let simmer until thickened, about 8-10 minutes. Return patties to skillet and simmer in the gravy for another 10 minutes.
While steaks simmer, boil potatoes and garlic cloves in salted water until fork tender, about 15 minutes. Drain and mash with butter, cream, salt, and pepper until smooth and fluffy.
In a small saucepan, heat butter and add corn. Sauté for 3-5 minutes. Season to taste.
Plate Salisbury steak over garlic mashed potatoes with a side of buttery corn. Drizzle with rich onion gravy.
