Annonce:

Ingredients
2 lbs russet or Yukon Gold potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
1/2 to 3/4 cup milk or heavy cream, warmed
Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Optional: 1 garlic clove (minced or added whole while boiling for extra flavor)
Instructions
Cook the Potatoes:
Place the potato chunks (and the garlic, if using) in a large pot. Cover with cold water and add a generous pinch of salt. Bring to a boil and cook until the potatoes are fork-tender, about 15–20 minutes.
Mash:
Drain the potatoes (and remove the garlic clove if added whole). Return them to the pot or place in a large bowl. Add the butter and gradually mix in the warmed milk or cream until the potatoes reach your desired creamy consistency. Season with salt and pepper to taste. For extra smooth potatoes, use a hand masher or potato ricer.
Homemade Gravy
Ingredients
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 cups beef broth (or chicken broth)
Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Optional: A dash of Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
Make the Roux:
In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the flour and whisk continuously for 1–2 minutes until the mixture turns a light golden color.
Add Broth:
Gradually whisk in the beef broth, stirring constantly to avoid lumps. Bring the mixture to a simmer and let it cook for 3–5 minutes until the gravy thickens to your liking.
Season:
Season with salt, pepper, and a dash of Worcestershire sauce if using. If the gravy becomes too thick, add a splash more broth or water to adjust the consistency.
To Serve
Slice and Plate:
Slice the stuffed meatloaf into thick, hearty slices.
Assemble the Plate:
Serve each slice alongside a generous portion of creamy mashed potatoes.
Drizzle:
Spoon the rich homemade gravy over the meatloaf and potatoes.
Garnish:
Optionally, sprinkle with a little extra chopped fresh parsley for color and freshness.
