Cleaning window frames with white vinegar: tips and tricks (Page 2 ) | April 25, 2025

To optimize its effectiveness, you must mix it with certain ingredients. No need to take out your wallet, you probably already have everything in stock. Here are the steps to prepare and apply this reliable and non-toxic home remedy.

Mix 1/3 cup white vinegar, 1 cup water, a few drops of dish soap and 2 tablespoons of lemon juice.
Pour the solution into a spray bottle.
Shake the bottle well before spraying the solution on the window frames.
Leave it to act for a few minutes and gently rub the surface with a clean sponge.

Finally, wipe the area with a cloth moistened with water to remove excess product.
Note: it is worth remembering to avoid strong preparations to clean your frames. Contrary to what it may seem, this plastic surface is very delicate and can easily be damaged if you attack it with products that are too strong. That is why our preparation is perfectly dosed and will be suitable for gently cleaning it. The icing on the cake: in summer, white vinegar sprayed on these surfaces will help repel all kinds of pests, such as mosquitoes, flies, moths and spiders that try to enter your home.
