-
3–4 fresh mint leaves, lightly bruised
-
Pinch of freshly ground black pepper
-
250 ml warm filtered water
(Double quantities for a larger batch; refrigerate and use within 24 hours.)
Procedure
-
Activate the chia
Combine chia seeds with about 50 ml of the warm water in a tumbler. Let them sit 10 minutes, swelling into a soothing gel. -
Infuse the spices
Crush the cloves gently with the back of a spoon. Add them to the remaining warm water along with turmeric and grated ginger. Steep for five minutes to draw out their active compounds. -
Blend & brighten
Strain the clove-turmeric infusion if you prefer a clear texture, then pour it over the hydrated chia gel. Stir in fresh lemon juice, raw honey, mint leaves, and a tiny pinch of black pepper. -
Cool or enjoy warm
For a refreshing option, chill the mixture for at least 15 minutes so flavors meld and chia suspends evenly. Alternatively, sip it warm in cooler weather.
