How to Make Crack Cake
Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease a bundt pan well with nonstick baking spray.
Mix all the cake ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Beat until the batter is smooth and fully combined.
Pour the batter into your prepared bundt pan.
Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean and the edges have slightly pulled away from the pan.
Prepare the glaze while the cake is baking: In a small saucepan, heat the butter, sugar, and white wine over medium heat. Stir until the sugar dissolves completely. Remove from heat.
When the cake is done baking, poke holes all over the bottom (while still in the pan) using a toothpick or skewer.
Pour the warm glaze over the cake slowly, letting it soak in. Let the cake rest in the pan for 15–20 minutes to fully absorb the glaze.
Loosen the edges gently with a spatula, then invert the cake onto a serving plate.
Slice and serve. This cake is best served slightly warm or at room temperature.
Tip:
This cake pairs perfectly with coffee—or even more sweet wine. Store leftovers tightly wrapped at room temperature for up to 3 days.
