Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of whole milk
  • 1 tablespoon of heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of cornstarch
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup of cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup of shredded coconut (optional, for garnish)

Instructions:

Step 1: Prepare the Custard Base

In a medium saucepan, combine the whole milk, heavy cream, granulated sugar, cornstarch, and a pinch of salt. Cook the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly to avoid lumps, until it thickens.

Once thickened, remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.

Step 2: Add the Cocoa Powder

Whisk in the cocoa powder until fully incorporated into the custard mixture. Pour the mixture evenly into a glass dish or individual serving cups.
