Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Shrimp Filling
In a bowl, toss the shrimp with garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, pepper, and parsley.
Let marinate for 10–15 minutes.
Step 2: Wrap the Shrimp
Lay out a spring roll wrapper or phyllo sheet.
Place a shrimp on one end. Roll tightly into a cigar shape, folding in the sides as you go.
Seal the edge with a bit of beaten egg.
Repeat with remaining shrimp.
Step 3: Fry the Cigars
Heat cooking oil in a pan to 350°F (175°C).
Fry the shrimp cigars in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 2–3 minutes per side.
Transfer to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
️ Step 4: Serve
Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces: sweet chili sauce, garlic aioli, or soy dipping sauce.
