In a bowl, mix together garlic, salt, black pepper, paprika, brown sugar, and apple cider vinegar to create the marinade.
Rub the marinade all over the ribs, covering thoroughly. Let them marinate for at least 1 hour or refrigerate overnight for deeper flavor.
Place the ribs in a crockpot and pour barbecue sauce over them.
Cook on low for 6–8 hours or on high for 3–4 hours, until the ribs are tender.
Serve hot with extra barbecue sauce if desired.
