1 tablespoon olive oil
8 oz Panko bread crumbs
1 teaspoon garlic powder
Peanut or vegetable oil (for frying)
For the Dipping Sauce:
1 cup mayonnaise
1½ tablespoons ketchup
1½ tablespoons prepared horseradish
½ teaspoon paprika
½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
¼ teaspoon dried oregano
¼ teaspoon salt
Dash of pepper
Instructions
Soak the Onions
Onions sliced into rings and soaking in buttermilk.
Slice onions into ½-inch rings and separate them.
Place in a bowl and cover with buttermilk. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour.
Make the Dipping Sauce
Mix all dipping sauce ingredients until smooth.
Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
