One of life’s greatest pleasures is tending a garden. It is really fulfilling to see your plants flourish and to eat the veggies (or should I say fruits!) that you have grown. The world isn’t always a bed of roses, however. The fight against pests is never-ending, and in the insect kingdom, it may be difficult to tell friends from enemies.

My first reaction was one of concern, as did many others. However, the truth became apparent when one looked more closely – these intriguing patterns were really the eggs of Nymphalis Antiopa butterflies.
