Anticonvulsants: such as phenytoin and trimethadione.

Chemotherapy drugs: especially interferons, pamidronate, cisplatin, carboplatin, cyclosporine, tacrolimus, quinine, mitomycin C, and bevacizumab, which can cause serious kidney damage.

Propylthiouracil, pills used to treat thyroid problems.

Pills used to relieve heartburn: omeprazole, lansoprazole, pantoprazole, rabeprazole, and esomeprazole.

Antivirals such as acyclovir, which treats herpes, and indinavir and tefonovir, which treat HIV.

Captopril, used for high blood pressure.

Medicines for bones and joints: Infliximab, which treats arthritis, and chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine, which treat malaria and systemic lupus erythematosus.
