The days turned into a blur of meetings and phone calls. Every conversation seemed to revolve around the same question: What did the Pope’s statement mean for us? Theories and interpretations abounded, each one more complex than the last.
David called another meeting, this time with key stakeholders from across the organization. The room was packed, the atmosphere tense. ‘We need to be proactive,’ he said, his voice cutting through the chatter. ‘We can’t sit back and wait for this to blow over.’
