1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
2. In a saucepan, bring the water, butter, and vanilla to a boil.
3. Add the flour and stir constantly until the mixture leaves the sides of the pot and forms a ball.
4. Remove from heat and let cool for 5 minutes.
5. Beat in the eggs one at a time until the mixture is smooth and glossy.
6. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto parchment-lined cookie sheets (about 8 large puffs).
7. Bake for approximately 40 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
