Here’s how to defrost your freezer, even in twenty minutes.
Defrost your freezer in 20 minutes.
The most well-known method is certainly the classic one, which involves turning off the freezer. However, it’s also the longest, taking about twelve hours to achieve excellent results. After removing all the food inside, turn off the appliance. You can do this in the evening and complete the process the next morning.
As the night progresses, the ice melts completely, and you’ll find a lot of water on the surface. Dry it thoroughly with a cloth before turning the freezer back on to prevent ice from forming after a few hours.
However, if you don’t know what to do with the food while you wait or don’t want to wait that long, you can try other quick and effective methods. One of them involves using coarse salt; you don’t even need to turn off the freezer, but you do need to be very quick to avoid wasting too much energy.
