Ingredients:
4 slices of bread (preferably stale)
2 eggs
1 dl milk
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
2 tablespoons butter or oil for frying
Preparation:
In a bowl, mix together the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla sugar and cinnamon (if using).
Dip the slices of bread in the egg mixture, coating both sides.
Melt the butter or oil in a frying pan and fry the slices of bread until golden brown on both sides.
Serve warm with powdered sugar, maple syrup, jam, fruit or whipped cream.
