Why Ginger and Turmeric?
Ginger and turmeric are both renowned for their medicinal properties. Ginger is excellent for digestion, reducing nausea, and fighting colds. It also has powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects. Turmeric contains curcumin, a compound with potent anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. When combined, these two ingredients can help boost your immune system, reduce inflammation, and improve overall health.
Ingredients:
- 2 inches of fresh ginger root, peeled and chopped
- 2 inches of fresh turmeric root, peeled and chopped (or 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder)
- 1 lemon, juiced
- 1 orange, juiced
- 1 tablespoon of honey (optional)
- A pinch of black pepper (enhances the absorption of curcumin in turmeric)
- 1 cup of water or coconut water
