Why Ginger and Turmeric?

Ingredients:

  • 2 inches of fresh ginger root, peeled and chopped
  • 2 inches of fresh turmeric root, peeled and chopped (or 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder)
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 1 orange, juiced
  • 1 tablespoon of honey (optional)
  • A pinch of black pepper (enhances the absorption of curcumin in turmeric)
  • 1 cup of water or coconut water
