A study published in the Journal of Science and Food of Agriculture showed that overweight rats experienced weight loss within 30 days after being given gingerol. According to the researchers, gingerol supplementation may be a valuable alternative in the treatment of obesity.

In the same context, another study showed that ginger supplementation in rats acts as a weight loss drug while also leading to an improvement in the level of good HDL cholesterol in the blood.

Additionally, ginger increases satiety, thereby reducing hunger and supporting weight management. It also has a thermogenic effect, stimulating metabolism and burning calories.

How to prepare ginger water?

Ingredients

A few slices of fresh, organic ginger root,
1.5 liters of water,
juice of one lemon (optional).
Preparation:
Bring the water to a boil and add the ginger slices. Let it simmer for 15 minutes, then remove from the heat and let it cool. You can add lemon juice if you like.

Drink this water three times a day: in the morning on an empty stomach, before lunch, and before dinner. The treatment should not last longer than 10 days.

  • Ginger is not recommended for pregnant women, especially after the first trimester.
  • The drug is not recommended for use by people suffering from blood diseases due to its anticoagulant effect, as well as by diabetics and weakened people.
