Preparation method
Peel the ginger and thinly slice it.
In a saucepan, bring 1 liter of water to a boil.
Add the sliced ginger to the boiling water. Simmer for about 10-15 minutes, until the water takes on an intense aroma.
Once boiling, remove the saucepan from the heat and let the drink cool for a few minutes.
Strain the drink to remove any ginger pieces.
Add lemon juice to the cooled ginger water, and optionally, honey or cinnamon to enhance the flavor.
Your ginger water is ready to drink! You can drink it warm or chilled in the refrigerator.
Serving and storage tips
Ginger water tastes best when fresh, but can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2-3 days.
For best results, it’s recommended to drink 1-2 glasses of ginger water daily, preferably in the morning on an empty stomach or before meals. You can also add fresh mint leaves to the drink
for an extra refreshing flavor.
