The sofa in a home is one of the fundamental elements of decoration. We spend a lot of time on it, with family, watching television or playing board games, or even relaxing. It’s no surprise that it gets dirty very quickly. That’s why it’s recommended to clean your sofa regularly.
Here’s a tip that will allow you to clean your sofa without damaging it or ruining the color.
How to clean a sofa at home?
Cleaning a sofa isn’t just about improving the aesthetics of our home. This step is even more important because it eliminates all potentially harmful contaminants. Dust and small particles left on the sofa’s upholstery can pose a threat, especially for allergy sufferers. Additionally, cleaning the sofa eliminates odors that penetrate the furniture, such as those from the kitchen.
Ingredients for cleaning the sofa
A bowl
600 ml of warm water
1 tablespoon of dish soap
1 tablespoon of
baking soda Half a glass of alcohol
2 tablespoons of window cleaner (optional)
A pot lid or saucepan
How to clean the sofa
First, pour water into the container. Then add dish soap.
Stir well so that the liquid dissolves and forms a little foam.
Then add the baking soda and stir again to dissolve it.
Pour the alcohol into the mixture and mix everything well.
Add the glass cleaner (this will improve the cleaning effect), but you can also skip this step. Your homemade detergent will do the job well on its own.
Place a cloth in the prepared product, soak it well, and wring it out (it should not be wet).
Then, place it on the sofa.
Then place the cover in the middle of the fabric.
Lift the corners of the material and press down.
Clean the sofa using circular motions and you will immediately see the difference!
