What can a pinch of cinnamon a day do?

Cinnamon is a well-researched product, safe and with many health benefits.

It doesn’t have to be served with coffee. Not everyone drinks it, and it’s not recommended for people with high blood pressure. Cinnamon, however, is perfectly fine on its own, as it effectively lowers blood pressure when used regularly.

Here’s what else a pinch of cinnamon a day can do:

– can significantly lower blood sugar levels as well as blood cholesterol levels in people with type 2 diabetes

– helps control sudden increases and decreases in blood sugar levels, which can reduce cravings for sweets

– helps in losing weight

– has antimicrobial and antiparasitic effects,

– supports the action of antioxidants from other foods that help the body defend itself and strengthen the immune system

– has antisecretory and antiulcer properties in the stomach

– protects the liver

– analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects

– reduces stiffness of muscles and joints

– improves digestion

– stimulates the brain

– long-term use of cinnamon may block proteins in the brain that lead to the development of Alzheimer’s disease.

If you don’t like coffee or can’t drink it, add cinnamon to your tea. Real cinnamon is also available in capsule form.
