Ingredients:
- 3 tablespoons white vinegar
- 1 tablespoon fine salt
- A paper towel or a soft cloth
Method:
- Mix vinegar and salt in a small bowl.

- Then wipe with a damp cloth.
Warning : Never use a scouring pad or the green side of regular sponges, as this may damage the non-stick coating.
For an aluminum iron: cleaning with salt
If your iron is made of aluminum, choose dry cleaning – without water or vinegar – to avoid oxidation.
Ingredients:
- Pergamentpapper
- Fine salt
Method:
- Heat the iron to a low temperature.
- Sprinkle salt on a sheet of baking paper.
- Slowly move the hot sole over the paper using small circular movements.
- Let cool and then wipe with a damp cloth.
Why does it work? Salt acts as a natural abrasive: it removes impurities without scratching the surface.
For the steam valves: the detail that makes all the difference

Limescale deposits can clog the holes and impair steam. A little targeted cleaning is necessary.
Ingredients:
- White vinegar
- Cotton swab
Method:
- Dip a cotton swab in the vinegar.
- Gently run it through each hole to loosen the deposits.
- Then wipe the sole with a clean, damp cloth.
