Lord Robert, wedded to Princess Diana, held the prestigious role of the late Queen’s private secretary from 1990 to 1999.

Amid the tumultuous “annus horribilis” of 1992, a year rife with royal tribulations, he rendered invaluable assistance to the Queen.
