In a bowl, mix:
½ cup baking soda
¼ cup white vinegar (it will fizz!)
1–2 tbsp dish soap
Stir into a thick paste-like liquid — not too runny.
💡 Pro Tip: Add a few drops of essential oil (like orange or tea tree) for a fresh scent and mild antibacterial boost.
Step 2: Place Rack in the Bag
Lay the plastic bag flat on the floor (on top of an old towel or cardboard)
Place the oven rack inside
Pour the cleaning mixture over the rack, coating all sides
Squeeze out excess air and seal the bag tightly
✅ Make sure the bag is puncture-proof and sealed well — no leaks!
Step 3: Let It Sit Overnight
Leave the sealed bag undisturbed for 8–12 hours (overnight is perfect)
The solution will penetrate baked-on grime, loosening it gently
🌞 For extra tough buildup, leave in a warm spot (not direct sun).
Step 4: Remove & Rinse
Open the bag carefully (wear gloves)
Take out the rack — most gunk should wipe right off
Rinse thoroughly with water
Use a non-scratch sponge or brush for any stubborn spots
🔥 Bonus: For remaining residue, sprinkle more baking soda and gently scrub.
