Ingredients:
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
3/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
4 slices of mozzarella cheese
1 cup sour cream
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and pepper, to your preference
Steps:
Warm up your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prep a 9×13 casserole dish with a touch of grease.
Arrange the chicken breasts within the casserole dish.
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the sour cream, 1/2 cup of the Parmesan cheese, oregano, garlic powder, cornstarch, salt, and pepper until it’s a smooth mixture.
Place a mozzarella slice atop each chicken breast.
Evenly spread your sour cream concoction over the chicken, then sprinkle the remaining Parmesan over it all.
Let it bake for about 60 minutes. You’ll know it’s ready when the chicken is thoroughly cooked and the cheese has turned into a molten delight.
Once baked, let it stand for a few moments to cool slightly and then serve to eager plates! Enjoy this Southern treat!
