Remove the mozzarella sticks from their package.
Decide how many you want to cook. This is usually the hardest part!
Preheat your air fryer to 390°F (200°C).
Spray the air fryer basket with nonstick cooking spray. This helps prevent sticking and ensures even cooking.
Place the mozzarella sticks in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd to ensure crispiness.
Cook for 5-7 minutes. Halfway through the cooking time, gently flip each stick. This ensures both sides get evenly crispy.
Check on your mozzarella sticks. When they are golden and crispy, they’re ready!
Remove from the air fryer and let cool for a minute.
Serve with your favorite dipping sauce and enjoy!

- Freeze Before Frying: Always freeze the mozzarella sticks for at least one hour before air frying. This helps them keep their shape and prevents the cheese from melting too quickly.
- Double Coat for Extra Crunch: For an extra crispy texture, dip the sticks in flour, egg, and breadcrumbs twice. This adds a thicker coating.

Storing
- Refrigeration: If you have leftovers, place them in an airtight container and store them in the refrigerator. They will last for up to 3 days.
- Freezing: To store longer, freeze the mozzarella sticks. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and freeze for about an hour. Then transfer them to a freezer bag or container. They can be stored for up to 4 months.
- Reheating: To reheat refrigerated mozzarella sticks, pop them in the air fryer at 350°F for 3-5 minutes. If frozen, allow them to thaw for a few minutes before reheating in the air fryer. This helps to regain their crispiness without burning.
