- Activate the Yeast:
- In a small bowl, combine the warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.
- Mix Dry Ingredients:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt.
- Combine Ingredients:
- Add the activated yeast mixture and olive oil to the flour mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the Dough:
- Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes, or until the dough becomes smooth and elastic.
- Let it Rise:
- Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until it has doubled in size.
- Preheat the Air Fryer:
- Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (180°C).
- Shape the Dough:
- Punch down the risen dough and shape it into a loaf that fits into your air fryer basket.
- Air Fry the Bread:
- Place the shaped dough into the preheated air fryer basket. Air fry at 350°F (180°C) for about 20-25 minutes or until the bread is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.
- Cool and Slice:
- Allow the bread to cool before slicing.
- Optional: Brush with Butter:
- For added flavor, you can brush the top of the bread with melted butter immediately after it comes out of the air fryer.
