Homemade Lemon Powder Recipe

1. Clean the Lemons

Scrub lemons in cold water with a brush or cloth.
For non-organic lemons, soak in warm water + 1 tbsp baking soda for 15–20 minutes.
Rinse and dry thoroughly.
2. Slice Thinly

Slice lemons into thin rounds (⅛–¼ inch thick).
Remove seeds to avoid bitterness.
Arrange slices in a single layer on dehydrator trays (or a baking sheet if using oven).
3. Dehydrate

Set dehydrator to 125–135°F (52–57°C).
Dry for 8–16 hours until slices are brittle and snap easily.
If using oven, set to lowest temp and prop door open slightly.
4. Cool Completely

Let dried slices cool to room temperature before grinding.
5. Grind into Powder

Use a spice grinder, coffee grinder, or high-speed blender.
Work in small batches and pulse until fine.
Sift through a fine mesh sieve for a smooth finish.
6. Store

Transfer powder to an airtight glass jar.
Keep in a cool, dark place.
Lasts up to 1 year or more.
